Intrepidas is a circus company founded in 2015 by Ayelén Tejedor and Martín Cruz de Oña, originally from Argentina. Since 2016, the company has brought its performances to stages in various corners of the world, connecting with diverse audiences beyond words.

Based in France since 2019, that same year they premiered Un Golpe de Suerte at the youth festival “Bonheur des mômes” in Le Grand Bornand.

Ayelén Tejedor specializes in contortion, acrobatics, and movement exploration, while Martín Cruz de Oña excels in balance, acrobatics, and juggling. Together, they create works that combine circus technique, humor, and poetry—exploring closeness with the audience and transforming play into a shared experience.

Ayelen Tejedor

Ayelén Tejedor, a contortionist of emotions, has always been drawn to the chaos evoked by the word circus — that apparent disorder where, nevertheless, everything is under control. Fascinated by the poetry of feigned clumsiness and by its inhabitants with superpowers, she found in the circus a space to express her sensitivity and creativity.

An artist from southern Argentina, Ayelén deepened her training in the performing arts in France, studying at the professional school Esacto Lido in Toulouse, within the framework of the Circus Artistic Formalization Project (FOCON), and at the Centre Régional des Arts du Cirque Lomme in Lille.

In her youth, she began her journey into the world of circus at the Municipal School of Urban Arts in Rosario, complementing her education with professional studies in contemporary dance and body expression at the Isabel Taboga school.

Today, Ayelén dedicates her days to studying the body as a medium of communication and artistic expression, exploring its infinite expressive possibilities.

Martin Cruz de Oña

Martín Cruz de Oña, born in Rosario, Argentina, discovered his passion for acrobatics at a very young age through artistic gymnastics. Over time, this passion led him to explore the circus arts and other disciplines such as breakdancing, skateboarding, surfing, and climbing. He has specialized in acrobatics, balance, Cyr wheel, and juggling, training with nationally and internationally renowned teachers.

Passionate about dance, he fuses breakdance with contemporary dance techniques, creating his own unique body language that enriches his performances. Throughout his career, he has worked as an artist in circus shows, street performances, theater, festivals, cabaret, and variety shows, joining companies across Latin America and Europe — including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, France, and Belgium.
